Ensuring your system is monitored and remains efficient and up to date
A perfectly designed and implemented system is only good whilst it is still up and running and continually maintained. Over time loading will change across the infrastructure, some areas will struggle and continual change will take its toll on the efficiency and performance of your investment.
Monitoring
Squeeze recommends introducing a monitoring platform from the first server install where possible. A good monitoring system will provide a running commentary on the health and performance of your systems and also provide alerts when problems occur or preferably before problems occur.
Maintenance
Ensuring your systems are up to date with the latest patches and service packs is also very important to minimize failures and reduce attack surfaces. A good systems management implementation will take into account this problem.
Configuration
The organization wide configuration of desktops, applications, security and servers can be managed, monitored and configured from a central point using varied technologies and options from those included with Windows to dedicated platforms.
The number of areas you need to be able to monitor and act against are forever growing as environments become more sophisticated. Getting the right information above the background noise is of paramount importance.
Squeeze can help you implement your own Systems Management platform or as part of our Manage and Maintain program provide it as part of an ongoing service.
